Passengers taking the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway who have passed through key epidemic areas need to declare their travel history via an online registration system, the city government has announced. Anyone whose ID card address is registered in an epidemic area or who has been present in one within the past 14 days is required to declare this in a form that can be accessed by scanning a QR code at all stations. This will need to be presented to staff, who will be conducting checks at all station exits. Moreover, any such passengers will have their temperatures taken by staff.
The Zhuhai traffic management department has suggested that passengers scan the code and register by themselves as much as possible. If it is difficult to do this by smartphone, a paper form may be requested and the staff in the registration area will register the information online later. Ech of the city’s five urban rail stations (Zhuhai, Qianshan, Mingzhu, Tangjiawan and Zhuhai North) have unique QR codes. After arriving at the station, passengers can scan the code to accurately record the arrival information.
