Wynn Macau has donated 1 million medical masks to the Macau government in support of the city’s epidemic prevention and control efforts.
According to a company statement: “As a company with deep roots in the local community, Wynn has been actively engaged with its global procurement network to urgently source protective supplies, including the successful purchase of the 1 million medical facemasks, which are suitable for hospital use.”
The facemasks were presented by Linda Chen, vice chairman and executive director of Wynn Macau, to Ao Ieong Iu, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, who received them on behalf of the government. They will be passed on to the Health Bureau for use.
Wynn said it “hopes to make a contribution to the epidemic prevention work in Macau through this donation, which is expected to help reduce the risk of virus transmission”, while also expressing “care and concern for all Macau residents”.
“The Wynn team has always cared about and connected with the local community, as well as people across the whole country. Wynn will continue to support the Macau SAR government’s epidemic prevention and control measures and work with everyone in the community to help overcome this epidemic together,” it said.
