Sands Macao recently welcomed the arrival of a God of Fortune statue with a worship ceremony and unveiling event officiated by Dr. Wilfred Wong, President, Sands China Ltd. Other Sands China Ltd. executives in attendance included Grant Chum, Chief of Staff, Dave Sun, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Cetin Tanisman, Senior Vice President of Casino Operations, Sean McCreey, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Danny Tang, Vice President and General Manager of Sands Macao, Harold Tsakmaklis, Vice President of Casino Operations and Steven Lau, Vice President of Market Development.
The imposing 16-foot-tall, 5,500-pound bronze and gold God of Fortune statue was designed and created by Professor Sun Jiabin, one of China’s most renowned and popular sculptors. A larger-than-life masterpiece, it is expected to become an iconic attraction and favoured stopping point at Sands Macao’s main lobby for visitors looking to boost their luck.
