MGM China has donated 45 temperature guns, along with hand sanitizers and other anti-epidemic supplies, to Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society. It is hoped that the donation will strengthen protection of staff and beneficiaries at the society’s daycare centers, primary and secondary schools as well as elderly activity centers, once they resume normal activities.
José Chui, president of Tung Sin Tong, said, “The epidemic is now gaining pace around the world. All of a sudden, supplies like temperature guns and hand sanitizers are in high demand, and purchasing has become an absolute challenge. Therefore, we are really thankful for MGM’s prompt support. This series of anti-epidemic supplies offers us a more comprehensive protection and allows us to provide services to our citizens as usual.”
Even though it appears that the epidemic is under control, with Macau not having had a new infection for more than a month, vigilance against a new outbreak is necessary and the donations are part of MGM’s ongoing support to help the community prevent this. MGM has also donated hand sanitizers to the disabled community and drug rehabilitation organizations, with beneficiaries including Concordia School for Special Education, Macau Association for the Mentally Handicapped, Macau Association of Support for the Disabled, and Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macao.
