Guangdong recorded three new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, all imported from overseas. Shenzhen reported one from France while Zhongshan had two from Spain. Six more patients were released from hospital, leaving only 60 under treatment, according to the Guangdong Health Commission.
Hong Kong, meanwhile, is in a fiercer battle with imported cases. The city reported nine new cases yesterday, seven of which were imported from overseas, taking the city’s total of confirmed cases to 129. Two patients were released from hospital, bring the total discharges to 67, while 146 remain under observation, according to the Centre for Health Protection.
The death toll in the GBA remained just 11.
The country reported only 15 new cases on Wednesday, of which six were imported. Hubei recorded just eight new cases, down from 13 the previous day, with 10 new deaths bringing the province’s total to 3,056, according to the Hubei Health Commission.
Of China’s total 80,793 confirmed cases, around 78% have left hospital, with 1,318 discharged on Wednesday alone, according to the National Health Commission.
